Another chapter of "Ahsoka" closes with Grand Admiral Thrawn escaping back to the cosmic yonder, and poor Ezra Bridger unwittingly hitching a ride. Meanwhile, Sabine Wren, Ahsoka Tano, and our favorite metal craftsman, Huyang, are left high and dry on Planet Peridea, joined by the pitiful duo of Shin Hati and Baylan Skoll. But wait, does Ahsoka look ruffled? Not a bit. Despite being stranded, she remains unfazed with the spirit of Rebellion flickering in her eyes.
It's near the end of the final act when a sight to be held graces the screen – Morai, the convor bird, an avian embodiment of the light-side Force goddess, the Daughter. And as if that wasn't enough, the ghost of Anakin Skywalker, Prince Charming of the Galactic Republic himself, appears, smiling coyly at Ahsoka and Sabine. A little birdie (or rather the official Star Wars site), confirmed that this isn't just a casual cameo.
"The convor Morai and the Force spirit of Anakin Skywalker both appear to give Ahsoka Tano signs that she's exactly where she is supposed to be," says the post. Coded messages not your thing? Here's the decode: Our ragtag team might just be where they're supposed to be. At least, Ahsoka seems to think that, even with the bittersweet ending.
Now, the murmurings of an "Ahsoka Season 2" are still just that – murmurs. But the gossip vine suggests it's set to arrive ahead of Dave Filoni's upcoming Star Wars movie. We might just see Ahsoka's story continue to unravel on Disney Plus (but don't quote us on that, we're just the messengers).
