A humorous guide on what's new, delayed, and everything in between in the world of Marvel Phase 5.

The Diffident Superhero Saga Rundown: Marvel Phase 5

Buckle up, Marvel fans! It’s time to tighten those capes, renew the Disney+ subscriptions, and stock up on popcorn because Marvel Phase 5 is about to hit our realms with a boom! Our spidey senses are tingling, and we can't wait to share all the juicy details!

Our superhero preferential line-up includes, of course, the petite yet powerful Ant-Man and the overbearing Wasp in "Quantumania" (clearly, size matters!). Then, there's the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" (because life isn’t exciting enough until a rogue raccoon is involved). We'll also delve into the world of secret espionage with “Secret Invasion'' and dive into Norse mythology with “Loki season 2.” Surprising? Well, we're only just getting started!

Fast-forwarding, on our cosmic journey, we'll meet up with Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan in "The Marvels" (formerly known as 'Captain Marvel 2', but clearly, they wanted to keep us on our toes!).

As we stumble ahead, we encounter more galactic gifts such as "Echo,” "Ironheart," Agatha's solo show "Darkhold Diaries," and the Daredevil reboot. Spoiler alert: things might get a bit messy, so keep those safety goggles handy!

Hold on, we hope you have a comfy seat because the train of Marvel Phase 5 will be a long ride, stretching all the way to the distant land of early 2025. Rumor has it, the phase finale will be the electrifying "Blade" (Excellent way to end the phase: Vampire-hypnotism, anyone?)

Our cast of comic characters includes powerhouses such as Brie Larson in "The Marvels", Alaqua Cox leading her own show titled "Echo,” and Dominique Thorne suiting up as Riri Williams AKA "Ironheart." We've also got Kathryn Hahn cackling away in the spotlight of her own show, "Agatha: Darkhold Diaries." (Confirmed Witch-lovers, rejoice!)

And breathe! Are you still with us? Good, because we have Charlie Cox returning with his iconic cane in the Daredevil's comeback! The excitement doesn’t end until Ryan Reynolds crashes onto the scene in "Deadpool 3" and Anthony Mackie steps into some big shoes in "Captain America: Brave New World."

As we wander into the shadows of mysterious timelines, we encounter "Thunderbolts," spearheaded by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the Contessa herself and starring a sprinkle of faces familiar from "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier."

When Valentine’s Day of 2025 rolls around, prepare yourself for a love letter from the MCU in the shape of "Blade." Oscar-winning Mahershala Ali has dual roles, including the titular Blade - because why play one Marvel character when you can play two, right?

Bringing us a tad down to (comic book) reality, let’s rewind and recap. "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" began this phase, overflowing with multiverse mayhem as a scientific stumble into the Quantum Realm unveiled Kang the Conqueror's chaotic plans. A batch of Kang Variants await in the wings, ready to protect their multiverse secrets from our superhero lineup!

"Guardians of the Galaxy 3" offered another emotional joyride as the team reunited to help injury-struck Rocket, battling against time, evolution, and villainous plans. Victory culminated with our beloved Guardians heading their separate ways (Wait, this feels like an MCU Friends Finale episode!).

Meanwhile, "Secret Invasion" saw the clash of Skrulls and humans unfold, with a side order of political chicanery, high-stakes power battles, and familial tension.

Lastly, "Loki season 2" amused us with its time-twisting edges and '80s fast-food chain appearances. Nothing says mischief like Loki in McDonald's, huh?

Phew! All these superhero sagas are enough to give Tony Stark a headache! If we've managed to whet your appetite for more caped escapades, stay tuned. After all, with Marvel Phase 5, the fun has just begun!
