Lights, camera, Loki season 1! Buckle up Marvel fans because if you're getting ready to dive into season 2 of Loki, and you can't remember what the god of mischief has been up to, I've got you covered. More like "MCU Memento", am I right?
Picture this. At the start of the first episode, hedonistic demi-god Loki, and his sidekick Sylvie stumble upon this "He Who Remains" guy, who's been all over the Sacred Timeline like a rash. Turns out, he's a finger-wagging, timeline-keeping equivalent of your over-zealous primary school hall monitor, saying "Nope, that's not supposed to happen," or, "But that timeline is out of bounds!" Take a chill pill, dude! But Sylvie's just NOT having it and skewers him like a kabob.
Which brings us to the drama at the TVA. Picture a millennial job-hopper's nightmare where mid-tier management doesn't even know who's in charge. Enter Judge Renslayer who’s so done with it all, she decides to peace out in search of something called "free will". But then, plot twist! Everyone at the TVA is a Variant, pruned from different lives elsewhere. I bet they're all feeling pretty peeved about that one.
Fast forward to the end of the season where we find our man Loki. He's whisked back to the TVA where his buddy Mobius gives him the cold shoulder, claiming he doesn't remember him. Ouch, talk about ghosting your bromance. What's the deal with that?
So there you have it, folks: an overview of Loki’s season 1 shenanigans that’s as confusing as the Sacred Timeline itself. But hey, at least it’s entertaining, right? Hold onto your hats, ladies and gents, because if season 1 is anything to go by, Loki's season 2 is set to be a rollercoaster ride of epic Marvel proportions.
