Ocarina of Time’s Ganondorf secures the third spot with 19% of the vote. This version marked Ganondorf’s first appearance in the series, making a momentous impact with his imposing posture and nefarious actions. Noteworthy scenes include his capture of Princess Zelda and a chilling moment where he appears to look directly at Link and Zelda through a window, showcasing his menacing presence.
Twilight Princess’s take on Ganondorf is runner-up, edging out Ocarina of Time by just 10 individual votes. His dark, realistic design matched the game's mature aesthetic, and his significant size made for a memorable and challenging final battle for players.
The top spot, with a robust 31% of the votes, shockingly goes to the new Ganondorf in the yet-to-be-released Tears of the Kingdom. Despite fans having seen very little of him, the design has drawn significant excitement, not least due to the impressive hair and chiseled physique shown in the latest trailer. Renowned voice actor Matt Mercer will give voice to the character, promising an even more layered villain.
While it may be premature to rank the most recent Ganondorf so highly, the anticipation for Tears of the Kingdom has clearly had a huge influence on fans' votes.
