Exciting New Games Land on Nintendo's North American Download Hub

Nintendo's latest download update for North America has arrived, delivering a raft of new games to the eShop. Leading the pack is Sonic Superstars; a 2D side-scrolling platformer game in which players can speed through 12 new zones as one of four playable characters, utilizing seven new Emerald powers, such as climbing waterfalls or multiplying. The game, which can be played in local co-op mode, launches on October 17th and is priced at $59.99.

Joining the lineup is Company of Heroes Collection, which makes its Nintendo Switch debut. The collection compiles the World War II RTS classic and its two expansions into one comprehensive package. Master a blend of fast-moving combat and squad-based tactics, and lead your forces through historic campaigns in the Battle of Normandy or create custom battles in the highly replayable Skirmish mode.

Also newly available on the eShop is A Boy and His Blob: Retro Collection, priced at $9.99, which involves exciting adventures with a two-episode saga including the original A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Blobolonia and The Rescue of Princess Blobette. Players team up with an extraterrestrial life form named Blobert to save Blob’s home planet.

The eShop's new releases also include the enchanting world of Alphadia, a revitalized epic fantasy RPG series that merges the first two titles, Alphadia I and Alphadia II, into one captivating adventure with updated graphics and a richer narrative. The game is priced at $19.99.

Meanwhile, Arcade Archives: DARIUS II, is a shooting game released by Taito in 1989. In the game, players pilot powerful modified Silver Hawks through stages, from the sun to Jupiter, battling bosses on the way. The game is priced at $7.99.

Players can also step into the shoes of Mary Gilbert, world-renowned botanist and guardian of Fern Flower, in Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends, a game where the player explores the mythical realm of Slavic fables. The goal is to travel to forgotten flying islands among the clouds, stop an evil sorcerer and gain the favor of a thunder god. The game is available for $14.99.

Anime fans also have lots to look forward to in games such as Kittengumi: The Sakabato Thief and Persona Collection, while horror enthusiasts can delve into the likes of TRAPPED in The Tricky Prison, and the award-winning Dementium: The Ward.

While Nintendo can expect many of these new titles to enthrall gamers

Nothing beats unwinding with some Call of Duty action or diving into platformer games. It's all about balance, right? Pixels by day, platforms by night!
