Now, if you're one of those people thinking, "Jujut-what now?" allow me to enlighten you. If you have an unhealthy devotion to the manga and anime series Jujutsu Kaisen, get ready to grab your joystick because a brand-new 2 vs. 2 action arena fighting game is the latest addition to the franchise.
Our fearless game developers over at Bandai Namco have announced Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash is "coming soon" to the Nintendo Switch and a slew of other platforms. Now that's what I call timing! This boss-move comes right before the anime's Season 2 airs on July 6. Boys and girls, it's time to brace yourselves for the game, which incidentally "features over fifteen characters in high-impact 2 vs. 2 Cursed Technique Battles!" Aren't you already feeling the excitement and Cursed Energy?
To give you a little backstory (and to stop you from Googling it), Jujutsu Kaisen is a rip-roaring Japanese series that mixes action and supernatural themes. It’s the brainchild of Gege Akutami, first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump.
For the uninitiated, let me introduce you to our protagonist. Yuji Itadori, a high schooler with Herculean strength living a pretty average life, but fate has other plans. One eventful day, Yuji gets initiated into the world of curses when he consumes the finger of Ryomen Sukuna to save an attacked classmate. Post that, Ryomen Sukuna and Yuji are sharing not just a finger, but a whole body! Guided by the sorcerer, Satoru Gojo, our hero enrolls in Tokyo Jujutsu High School with one mission – exorcise the curses. A tale of heroism, curses and one non-refundable life.
