Legendary horror figures and new thrilling costumes will haunt the battle royale as Epic Games gears up for another spine-chilling Fortnitemares Halloween event this 2023.

Fortnite's Fortnitemares 2023: The Ghoul-est Line-Up Yet!

With October upon us, Fortnite fanatics are well aware that this marks the arrival of the annual Fortnitemares! This haunting tradition sees Epic Games unleashing a whole cauldron of ghostly weapons, eerie quests, petrifying skins, and so much more. For 2023, the party runs till November 3, and boy, what a lineup we have! Say hello to Alan Wake, Michael Myers, and Jack Skellington!

But let's cut the suspense. Here's your page-through guide to the Fortnitemares 2023 event.

This year's incredibly gory and ghoulish gang of skins and outfits are, hands-down, the best we've seen so far. We have Seth, the mummified menace alongside the slimy Bogstick; not to mention Phantom Meowscles the killer cat and Festival Phaedra, our sea-shell stunner. All of these are brainchildren of Epic Games.

Keeping the spook-fest rolling is our beloved Pumpkin King from The Nightmare Before Christmas - Jack Skellington, who'll be up for grabs at the Item Shop later. And guess what? Tagging along is the Zero Back Bling, Peppermint Parasol Pickaxe, and Jack's Sled Glider. What's Halloween without some scary face, right? Jack got you covered, with a skin-crawling emote.

The infamous Michael Myers will also hit the Fortnitemares stage later in the event. His set, shrouded in mystery, includes a musical emote, a jack-o-lantern back bling, and a spicy knife as a pickaxe.

Joining the lineup later in November is the scarred author Alan Wake from the upcoming sequel, equipped with his outfit, a satchel bag, a weapon and vehicle skin, and a special flashlight-esque pickaxe.

Ghostbuster’s toolkit? Check! Some new weaponry drops include the Wood Stake Shotgun, Thorne's Vampiric Blade which gives you health per damage, and the crowd-favorite Pumpkin Launcher, giving your enemies a big ole' pumpkin surprise right in the face!

For quick escapes or aerial overviews, don't forget the Witch Broom that rocket boosts you to the sky.

Oh, and we also have a fiendishly tasty array of candies; Candy Corn, Pepper Mints, Hot Drops, and Jelly Beans, each with their spooktacular effects. Itching to try? Grab them from Candy Buckets or by completing various challenges.

Don't forget to capitalize on the chilling quests for some cool rewards like the Bat Royale Back Bling, the Sweet! Emote, Revenant Rider Glider, and heaps more.

Expect monster-based mayhem with the limited-time Horde Rush mode where you and your mates take on different locations and survive Cube Monster hordes. Top that, and you become the Final Boss!

Other additions include a new "Quick Weapon" action and a note that the Fortnite app will now require Android OS10 or higher, moving forward.

If you haven't dropped by Fortnite in a while, Fortnitemares 2023 is the perfect time to put those gaming gears back on! Catch up on all Fortnite updates, and observe a moment's silence for Epic Games' chief creative officer and Fortnite head, Donald Mustard, who'll be retiring soon.

So, who's up for some frighteningly good fun this Fortnitemares 2023? Share your skin wishlist and let's get the scare party started!
