The sequel to the popular game Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, introduces enhancement combat features, like team attacks.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Boosts Gameplay with Team Attacks

Final Fantasy 7 has always been adored for its epic blend of action and strategy-oriented combat systems. Enter Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the sequel to the beloved Final Fantasy 7 Remake. We are thrilled to share that the combat system of the sequel has not only been retained but significantly improved upon as well. Square Enix's dedication to refining the playing experience is clearly evident, extending the battlefield with new playable characters, amplified abilities and a vital new feature: team attacks.

Dubbed as 'Synergy' moves, these maneuvers create a spectacle on the battlefield – two party members gang up to execute a powerful technique. It's not as fierce as Limit Breaks in terms of brute force, but the frequency and strategy involved in their use give them a unique flavor of their own. The creators have poured a lot of love into this fresh, interactive mechanic.

In a discussion with RPGFan, Naoki Hamaguchi, the game's director, revealed some fascinating insights about this feature. This isn't limited to specific character pairings but is ubiquitous, spanning across every character in your party. Hamaguchi elucidated, "All characters will have synergy attacks with every character pairing." This deviation from the norm was intentional, the idea was to give the players freedom to choose their team-ups and experiment through trial and error.

This sense of choice and freedom for the players was given precedence over the labor-intensive graphics and other resources that went into making it. It clearly illustrates the lengths to which the creators were willing to go to keep the spirit of freedom alive in the gameplay.

With this being said, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is seemingly exceeding what its predecessor, Remake, had achieved. It's evident that with the primary gameplay structure already established, Square Enix is utilizing every available resource for this much-anticipated sequel.

Hamaguchi even hinted at each character having their own skill tree. These will offer the opportunity to develop and obtain new Synergy actions and abilities respective to each character. This means you can focus on the characters you like the most, customizing their skills and teaming them up according to your gameplay preferences.

In essence, this gives players the flexibility to select what they think is most suitable for conquering specific bosses or enemies, reinforcing the fun, experimental aspect of the game.

Undoubtedly, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth appears to be an exhilarating journey for seasoned players and newcomers alike, breaking new ground on the familiar terrain of the virtual battlefield. We are genuinely excited to see the embracement this innovative game mechanic will receive from the vast Final Fantasy gaming community.
