As we all fight the existential dread of another wrinkle as our birthdays roll around, Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 is cracking open the energy drink cans (ones that probably bear its face as promotional content), and planning its own raucous party to the tune of a major update on its 7th birthday on October 12th.
But that’s not all folks; just like that great aunt you have who always reels in with a “But wait there’s more...” Bandai Namco has also announced a PS5 version set to release in 2024. Let's just hope the PS5 version doesn't have any mid-life crisis and maybe sprout an earring or two.
Launched in 2016 for PS4, this sequel took the original Dragon Ball XenoVerse, gave it a power-up, and boosted just about everything to Super Saiyan level. Crafted cleverly as a mission-based action RPG, you, the gamer, get to control your very own custom character swinging famous Dragon Ball attacks at villains while you level up and collect awesome gear.
Remember that feeling when your favorite TV show promised a new season and then, they just kept coming? Well, XenoVerse 2 is the gift that keeps on giving with endless post-release support that could put any Energizer bunny to shame. From major updates, live events, bundles of paid DLC, and much more - it’s a non-stop Dragon Ballverse party.
Heads up, Dragon Ball enthusiasts! It seems there's still plenty of puff left in the old dragon yet, with a big free update on the horizon landing on October 12, 2023! Be ready for exciting new events, battle modes, and other features that will level up the fun quotient!
