The Blood of Dawnwalker: Every Sanzhana Location and Why Finding All Five Matters

Track down Vale Sangora's blue fairies, complete their individual tasks, unlock letters to Lunka, and earn an extra day on the campaign clock.

The Blood of Dawnwalker: Every Sanzhana Location and Why Finding All Five Matters

The Sanzhana are easy to underestimate in The Blood of Dawnwalker. These small blue fairies appear in separate corners of Vale Sangora, often through side quests that initially seem to offer little more than localized rewards. However, completing every Sanzhana encounter has a much larger payoff: it adds 24 hours to the game's standard 30-day countdown.

There are five Sanzhana-related quests to finish: Good Home, Come Hither, Tiny Dancer, Burrow Sorrows, and Pearly and Precious. They can be tackled in any order, although beginning with Good Home is a sensible choice because it introduces the Sanzhana and leads to the Sanzhana Tsarina at the Yawning Burrow.

Beyond the final time extension, the quests create an optional line of communication with the protagonist's sister, Lunka. After resolving a Sanzhana quest, players can return to the Tsarina and request another letter with a question for Lunka. The response arrives in the inventory after the next change in the day-and-night cycle. These letters are not required to complete the main story, but they can provide small pieces of information concerning Brencis and his castle.

All five Sanzhana quests at a glance

  • Good Home -- Svartrau Outskirts
  • Come Hither -- west of Tantari and south of Svartrau
  • Tiny Dancer -- Svartrau, at night
  • Burrow Sorrows -- north of Rockfalls
  • Pearly and Precious -- North Boar's Back forest

None of these objectives demands that the others be completed first. Still, planning the route around nearby story objectives and keeping an eye on the clock can make the detours easier to justify. The eventual extra day is valuable, but the time invested reaching and resolving all five fairy encounters means it should be treated as a late-game cushion rather than a completely free reset of the campaign timer.

Good Home location: Svartrau Outskirts

Good Home takes place in the Svartrau Outskirts and is the best place to start the entire Sanzhana chain. Here, the player meets a girl named Heile, who asks for help locating her missing brother. The task involves following the situation through investigation, with a few wolf encounters along the way.

The important objective is to reunite the siblings. Doing so brings the player into contact with the Sanzhana Tsarina. This meeting is particularly significant because it establishes the Yawning Burrow as the place to revisit for the Lunka letter feature after later Sanzhana quests.

While it is possible to leave this quest until later and pursue the other fairies first, that approach makes the wider sequence feel less clearly connected. Starting here gives useful context for why these scattered blue-fairy encounters matter and gives players an early introduction to the Tsarina's role.

Come Hither location: west of Tantari, south of Svartrau

The Come Hither Sanzhana can be found west of Tantari and south of Svartrau. This encounter begins with a crying fairy who fears that her brethren may not have survived an attack by a monster. The threat is a Murohn boss, so this is one of the more direct combat-focused Sanzhana objectives.

Defeat the Murohn to conclude the quest. It is worth thoroughly searching the boss arena after the fight because it contains Silk Threads that can be collected without paying for them. Silk Threads are used to craft the Arbiter Armor, and only one is needed.

That detail has consequences for another Sanzhana quest. A later fairy can offer Silk Threads for sale, but there is no need to purchase them if they have already been obtained in the Murohn arena. Players looking to preserve their money should make a point of collecting the free threads here rather than treating the arena as a simple boss stop.

Tiny Dancer location: Svartrau at night

Tiny Dancer is located in Svartrau itself, but it is specifically a night-time mission. If the encounter is not available during the day, wait for darkness before attempting to progress it.

This quest centers on a Sanzhana imprisoned by a merchant. The player needs to break into the house, obtain the key, and use it to open the fairy's cage. It is a more covert and exploratory scenario than the Murohn battle in Come Hither, rewarding attention to the building and its contents.

There are additional valuables available during this sequence, including silver that can be looted from the merchant. The essential requirement remains freeing the captive Sanzhana, but the mission is also a useful opportunity to search the location carefully instead of immediately leaving once the cage is unlocked.

Burrow Sorrows location: north of Rockfalls

Head north of Rockfalls for Burrow Sorrows. This Sanzhana explains that kobolds have taken over her burrow and stolen her charm. The job is straightforward: deal with the kobolds, recover the charm, and return it to its owner.

There is a pleasant twist at the end. Once the charm has been brought back, the fairy allows the player to keep it. That makes the quest more than a simple recovery errand, while still fitting the broader pattern of helping individual Sanzhana with problems that are rooted in their immediate surroundings.

For players mapping out the entire hunt, this is a useful quest to pair with other travel in the Rockfalls region. As with the rest of the set, there is no prescribed order, so there is no advantage to forcing a long trip solely for this objective if another nearby goal can be handled at the same time.

Pearly and Precious location: North Boar's Back forest

The final listed Sanzhana encounter, Pearly and Precious, begins in the North Boar's Back forest. Follow the tracks in the area to reach a fairy who has been looting bodies. She asks the player to create more bodies by targeting nearby bandits, then pays for their teeth.

The key warning in this quest concerns the merchant-like exchange that follows. The fairy can sell Silk Threads, but players should not spend money on them if they have completed Come Hither and searched the Murohn's arena. The free threads from that earlier encounter serve the same crafting purpose, and only one set is necessary for the Arbiter Armor.

In other words, Pearly and Precious is still needed for the complete Sanzhana reward, but its Silk Threads offer is optional and potentially wasteful. Finish the bandit objective, collect the quest-related payment, and save currency by relying on the free material from the Murohn encounter.

How Lunka's letters work

After each completed Sanzhana quest, return to the Yawning Burrow and speak with the Sanzhana Tsarina. She can send another message to Lunka containing a question chosen by the player. The reply does not arrive instantly: it appears in the inventory the next time the world's day-and-night cycle changes.

The letters offer supplementary story flavor rather than mandatory progression. They can reveal minor details about Brencis and his castle, helping fill in parts of the larger situation without replacing the information gained from the main path. Players primarily interested in efficiency can regard them as optional, while lore-focused players should make a habit of checking back after each fairy quest.

The reward for completing every Sanzhana encounter

After all five quests are complete, the Sanzhana grant an additional 24 hours on top of the usual 30-day time limit. It is one of the most meaningful rewards attached to a collection-style side activity because it directly affects the amount of time available for the broader adventure.

That said, it is best not to assume this bonus erases the time spent earning it. Traveling across Vale Sangora, investigating each location, fighting enemies, and waiting for night where required all consume time. The full hunt is therefore most useful for players who want extra flexibility in the remaining campaign, extra lore through Lunka's correspondence, and the quest-specific loot along the way.

For the cleanest progression, begin with Good Home in the Svartrau Outskirts, use the Yawning Burrow to follow Lunka's letter thread, pick up the free Silk Threads during Come Hither, and make sure all five names are cleared before moving toward the endgame. Once the final Sanzhana has been helped, the extra day becomes a welcome buffer for whatever remains on the clock.
