Amid mounting criticism, Strictly Limited Games takes steps to address shipping delay issues and improve communication with customers.

Strictly Limited Games Responds to Shipping Delay Complaints

Strictly Limited Games, a company known for its collector's edition productions, has been under fire in recent years for its extended shipping delays. The grievances of customers who have pre-ordered products from the website have been growing, with complaints of year-long shipping delays making rounds on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Prominent among these delayed deliveries are the Turrican Ultra Collector's Edition and Ray’z Arcade Chronology. Customers are becoming increasingly unavoidable due to missed delivery dates and a seeming lack of response on production updates from the company.

In light of simmering frustrations and mounting criticism, Strictly Limited Games has issued a comprehensive statement on its website addressing these concerns. Surprisingly, the company has admitted to its failure in maintaining consistent and open communication with customers. The company's statement read, "We are fully aware that our communication hasn't been the best, to say the least, and hasn't met our standards. We hear you, truly.”

In the same statement, the producers also delved into the reasons behind the delay in the launch of three major ventures slated for release in summer 2023. These are Abarenbo Tengu & Zombie Nation, Steel Empire Chronicles, and Dariusburst CS CORE + TAITO / SEGA PACK. For Abarenbo Tengu & Zombie Nation, the delay was linked to the reworking of the mold for the Tengu collectible element. Steel Empire Chronicles faced challenges when the game Steel Empire HD couldn't pass the first-party certification process, causing disruption in the company's original plans. Lastly, Dariusburst CS CORE + TAITO / SEGA PACK were delayed due to a prolonged production period. Throughout all these explanations, the company emphasized that these insights were offered, not as excuses, but to provide a transparent look into the production hurdles they face.

Recognizing its shortcomings, Strictly Limited Games proposed two solutions to reassure customers. Firstly, the company will be trialing a new initiative called "Speedrun", with the aim of investing all necessary development efforts upfront to ensure immediate shipping. Secondly, it pledged to implement a production tracker live on the product page to communicate delays. This tracker will help keep customers updated on the game's progression stages — whether it is currently in development, testing, or production.

These measures manifest the company’s effort to rectify their operational issues, but the question remains — will these steps sufficely restore customer trust in Strictly Limited Games? The company's revised approach will certainly be under keen observation by customers and competitors alike. Only time will tell if the efforts of Strictly Limited Games to enhance transparency and speed up shipping methods will finally quell customers' complaints and recover their reputation.
