At the dawn of this gaming-rich year, we were treated to Hi-Fi RUSH, a game that set high expectations for what was to follow. And indeed, the year maintained its momentum, delivering games such as Resident Evil 4 Remake, Diablo 4, Starfield, Alan Wake 2, and Baldur's Gate 3. These titles showcased the impressive range of gaming experiences available, from bone-chilling horror to expansive RPG adventures.
Amidst the blockbuster releases, the indie game scene did not stand idle. Sea of Stars, Cocoon, Jusant, Chants Of Sennaar, and DREDGE are just a few of the innovative indie titles that filled players' hearts with joy and their gameplay hours with rich variety.
Taking a prestigious spot in this celebration of gaming, Pure Xbox welcomed its community to participate in the annual tradition of voting for their favorite games to ultimately crown the Game of the Year for 2023. At number six, the redemption arc of Cyberpunk 2077 through its expansion Phantom Liberty is a tale of resurgence worth telling. The result is an experience that's finally recommendable, anchored by a compelling narrative and significant technical refinements.
