Niantic announces Incense Day: Skorupi, promising a swarm of Bug and Poison-type Pokémon on October 21st, with opportunities to encounter shiny Skorupi, gain extra rewards, and participate in themed tasks.

Pokémon Go Gears Up for Incense Day: Skorupi Event

As autumn envelops us with its vibrant hues, the enthusiasm for Pokémon Go's October activities, usually dominated by the dual Halloween events, is gradually climbing. However, the creators at Niantic have more in store for trainers this month. Capitalising on the spooky season, there's another terrifyingly exciting event slated, bringing a horde of creepy-crawlies to the augmented reality game.

Scheduled for next week is the Incense Day: Skorupi event, a unique opportunity for trainers to engage with the Scorpion Pokémon in a fascinating new way. The event is scheduled for October 21st and will run from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, local time. It can be likened to a Community Day event, with a slight twist — the requirement of a specific item. During this event, trainers will find that the Skorupi are attracted to Incense at a significantly higher rate. Besides, if fortune favours, some may even stumble upon a shiny Skorupi in the wild. To assist trainers further, Niantic has planned a little bonus. During this event, Daily Adventure Incense, when activated, will last twice the usual duration.

However, Skorupi isn't the only critter making its presence felt during this event. The wilderness of Pokémon Go will be teeming with a wide array of Bug and Poison-type Pokémon, anxiously waiting to be caught by earnest trainers. The catch, however, is that their appearances will not be constant but governed by specific hours. Trainers will engage with Bug-type Pokémon like Caterpie, Weedle, Pinsir, Yanma, Wurmple, Wimpod, Scyther, and Dewpider from 11:00-12:00, 1:00-2:00, and 3:00-4:00 pm local time. Simultaneously, Poison-catching hours will see Pokémon such as Ekans, Zubat, Gulpin, Stunky, Croagunk, Skrelp, Alolan Grimer, and Trubbish dwelling in the game's wilderness. Their appearances will be timed between 12:00-1:00, 2:00-3:00, and 4:00-5:00 pm local time.

To crank up the thrill, trainers are also given the opportunity to participate in unique Field Research tasks during the event. These activities will grant them additional encounters with Skorupi, along with other rewards like Stardust, Ultra Balls, and more upon catching themed Pokémon. To add to the excitement, a one-off event bundle, consisting of one Incense, will be up for grabs from the shop for just a PokéCoin.

So, as the ghostly celebrations of Halloween start lurking around the corner, Pokémon Go primes to set the stage for a thrilling encounter with a horde of creepy crawlers, sprinkled with abundant rewards and engaging tasks. Immerse yourself in this spooky yet exciting event by downloading Pokémon Go for free and join the festive hunt. The Scorpion Pokémon await you!
