New Performance Mode Update for Eiyuden Chronicle on Switch

The popular video game Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes has recently received an important update on the Nintendo Switch, significantly enhancing gameplay through the addition of a new 'Performance Mode.' This update, tagged as Version 1.0.5, implements several improvements and adds new graphics settings to the game, including Graphics Mode and Balanced Mode.

The introduction of these three distinct modes under the game's Graphics Settings offers players more control over their gameplay experience. Performance Mode focuses on optimizing the game’s frame rate, Graphics Mode enhances visual quality, while Balanced Mode aims to provide a stable compromise between the two. This versatility addresses the preferences of a wide range of players, ensuring that whether they prioritize smooth performance or high-quality graphics, there's a setting to suit their needs.

Additionally, the update resolves several bugs and gameplay issues that were impacting player experience. Notably, it fixes a problem where party members would vanish when switching characters under specific circumstances. The patch also addresses a soft lock issue that occurred when changing Runes at the Rune Shop with only one battle member in the party.

The development team has also tackled a progression issue in the main story. This hiccup occurred if the player’s headquarters (HQ) had reached a development level of 2 or higher, stalling game advancement. Moreover, enhancements in score calculations during Cook Battles and fixes in the accessory item user interface (UI) have been introduced.

Further addressing gameplay stability, the update resolves occasional game soft locks when playing as Marisa and interacting with the giant cogs in Castle Harganthia. It also corrects premature access to the Norristar area during second playthroughs and fixes minor localization (loc) issues, striving to polish the overall gaming experience.

This current patch will soon be followed by another update scheduled for mid-June, which will be available across all platforms, including Nintendo Switch. The forthcoming update is expected to bring more fixes and improvements in optimization, as the developers continue to refine the game based on player feedback.

In addition to these immediate enhancements, Rabbit & Bear Studios, together with 505 Games, have also unveiled a roadmap for 2024. This future plan includes adding character story downloadable content (DLC), ensuring that players have more content to look forward to.

The recent updates and ongoing commitment to enhancing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes demonstrate the developers' dedication to delivering a high-quality gaming experience and supporting the game post-launch.
