Capcom's latest update for Dragon's Dogma 2 on Xbox expands item storage significantly, alongside various bug fixes to enhance gameplay experience.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Rolls Out New Xbox Update

Capcom recently released an update for Dragon's Dogma 2, available now for the Xbox Series X|S consoles, introducing significant enhancements and several quality-of-life improvements that fans have eagerly awaited. The standout feature of this new update is the significantly increased capacity for in-game item storage. Players can now store up to 3000 items, a substantial increase from the previous limit of 1000. This change is crucial for gamers who spend extensive hours collecting items throughout their adventure, providing them with much-needed space and organization.

Despite this exciting improvement, the update does not address the frame rate issues that have been a concern since the game's launch. Although a frame rate cap was introduced in late March, the community continues to highlight the need for further optimizations to achieve a smoother gameplay experience.

Besides the item storage upgrade, this update also includes fixes for several bugs that impacted gameplay. Notably, two specific in-game accessories, the "Bandit Eyepatch" and the "Lordly Eyepatch," were previously unavailable – this has been corrected in the latest patch. Additionally, an issue that hindered progression in the Guardian Gigantus quest has been resolved. This particular bug made it impossible to advance after playing a cinematic, frustrating many players who were eager to continue their quests.

Another interesting fix addresses the appearance and dialogue discrepancies of Pawns—AI companions in the game—in other players' worlds. Previously, cosmetic inconsistencies and dialogue errors affected the immersive experience, but with this update, Pawns should now appear and speak correctly when ventured into different gameplays.

Capcom also introduced minor miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements, enhancing the overall stability and performance of the gaming experience.

Parallel to the Xbox update, the Steam version of Dragon's Dogma 2 received specific enhancements as well. The addition of DLSS FRAME GENERATION in the graphics options marks a significant update for players using compatible graphics cards, aiming to optimize frame rates and graphical fidelity. Additionally, a bug related to terrain display issues on some graphics boards has been fixed, ensuring a consistent visual experience across various hardware setups.

The reception to Dragon's Dogma 2 has been largely positive, with the game reaching impressive player milestones just two months after its initial release. Capcom has expressed gratitude for the community's support and continues to engage with player feedback to refine the game further.

As part of the update's roll-out, Capcom encourages players to dive back into the world of Dragon's Dogma 2 to test out the new enhancements. With increased storage space and numerous bug fixes in place, gamers should find their experiences improved, making their adventures in the fantastical world more enjoyable.

The ongoing updates and active community engagement highlight Capcom's commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of Dragon's Dogma 2. While performance improvements are still a high priority for many players, the latest update brings about crucial fixes and enhancements that address immediate gameplay and functional issues. As the game continues to evolve, players remain hopeful that Capcom will soon provide solutions to all remaining performance concerns.
