Bandai Namco celebrates seven years of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 with a leap to the future platform, free update, and scrumptious DLC.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Flies to Xbox Series X|S in 2024

By the Kamis! The role-playing game that can't get enough of Kame-hame-ha-ing its way through time, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is blowing out the candles on its seventh cake (read 'anniversary'). With this significant milestone, Bandai Namco decided there was no better way to celebrate than to announce the game's big move to next-gen land, Xbox Series X|S. Exact date? Stay patient, Saiyan warriors. We are still sauntering towards the hyperbolic time chamber and the game's set to emerge in 2024.

Wait, there's more in this Saiyan Saga! Bandai Namco unveiled a "big free update". Now that's what I call a wish coming true from the Dragon Balls! Unleashed today, this update includes a new event, a spicy new battle mode, and a potluck of engaging content.

But you know what they always say in the Dragon Ball universe, "the fun shouldn't stop at a free update." Well, at least I imagine they say that in the alternate timeline where I'm a Super Saiyan. And true to the spirit, this delightful update will be chased by the icing on the cake - a tangy new Downloadable Content (DLC), the Xbox upgrade (everyone loves a Super Saiyan glow-up), and a mystery box labelled "more" content. Long story short, the Dragon Radar is going wild, and it’s brimming with fun new content!

While we don’t have the exact look of this ultimate Dragon Ball mash-up, Bandai Namco has left us a breadcrumb trail in the form of a tempting teaser trailer. It's like a Sensu bean for our gaming curiosity, reviving our suspense and anticipation for what’s coming.

So, if you're any fan of the world where hair colour indicates the power level, then there's a lot to be excited about. Be it you’re a Saiyan at heart waiting to battle Frieza one more time or just a fan who wants to sit on Korin’s Tower, this update is something to Z-Fighters and fans alike will enjoy.

2024 might seem like a distant future to some. But remember, we're talking about a game based on a series where characters can move faster than light and you can learn martial arts in a hyperbolic time chamber! So, fellow warriors, just hold onto your favourite Dragon Ball until then, and we guarantee you, it's going to be an energy blast!

Are you excited for this Xbox Series X|S version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, fellow Earthlings? Don’t forget to chat your heart out and spill those beans down in the comments' chamber.
