The antagonist Gruntilda's sisters rescue her from her rocky grave, setting the stage for a new devious plot. This time, the plan is to drain the world's life energy using a device called the Big-O-Blaster. Banjo and Kazooie, the bear and bird duo, set out on a mission not only for revenge but also to save their world from imminent doom.
The structure of Banjo-Tooie is immediately notable for its scale.
