Award-Winning Detective Game Debuts on Nintendo Switch

Gaming enthusiasts who have a knack for solving mysteries and delving into deep, narrative-driven experiences have a new reason to be excited. PLAYISM, the publisher known for supporting unique indie games, is bringing the acclaimed detective game "No Case Should Remain Unsolved" to the Nintendo Switch on September 19th. This release follows its successful stint on Steam, where it captured the attention of both gamers and critics, earning several prestigious awards.

Set against the backdrop of an intriguing unsolved case, players step into the shoes of Jeon Gyeong, a retired Senior Inspector drawn back into the shadows of his past. The case involves Seowon, a missing individual whose disappearance remains a mystery after 12 years. This narrative-rich game merges classic detective work with innovative gameplay elements that stand out in the genre of text-based mystery games.

Developed by the South Korean indie studio Somi, the game is known for its distinctive gameplay mechanics. One of the highlights is its imaginative deduction system, where players connect pieces of memories in a manner akin to solving a jigsaw puzzle. This method allows for immersive storytelling, enabling players to piece together the events and motives leading to Seowon's disappearance.

The gameplay also offers various challenges, including uncovering passcodes and keys, engaging in 54 narrative-rich conversations, and unraveling two hidden truths. These elements are designed to provide players with a satisfying detective experience, packed into a concise 2-3 hour gameplay duration. The unraveling of why Seowon’s case remained unsolved all those years is poised to be both engaging and emotionally compelling.

Adding to the immersive nature of the game is the soundtrack by Seongyi Yi, known for their work on other narrative-centered games like Legal Dungeon and The Wake. The monochrome pixel art visuals contribute to the game's eerie and absorbing atmosphere, enhancing the overall experience of mystery and exploration.
